Implicit Active Shape Models for 3D Segmentation in MR Imaging
Extraction of structures of interest in medical images is often an arduous task because of noisy or incomplete data. However, handsegmented data are often available and most of the structures to be extracted have a similar shape from one subject to an other. Then, the possibility of modeling a family of shapes and restricting the new structure to be extracted within this class is of particular ...
متن کاملImplicit Shape Models for Object Detection in 3d Point Clouds
We present a method for automatic object localization and recognition in 3D point clouds representing outdoor urban scenes. The method is based on the implicit shape models (ISM) framework, which recognizes objects by voting for their center locations. It requires only few training examples per class, which is an important property for practical use. We also introduce and evaluate an improved v...

are compared with the experimental results. In these test results the shape memory alloys behavior as: super elasticity under various temperatures, loading rate effects, asymmetry in tension and pressure, various loops of loading and unloading, hydrostatic pressure effects, different proportional tension-shear biaxial loading and unloading, and also deviation from normality due to non-proportio...
متن کاملImplicit Shape Models for 3D Shape Classification with a Continuous Voting Space
Recently, different adaptations of Implicit Shape Models (ISM) for 3D shape classification have been presented. In this paper we propose a new method with a continuous voting space and keypoint extraction by uniform sampling. We evaluate different sets of typical parameters involved in the ISM algorithm and compare the proposed algorithm on a large public dataset with state of the art approaches.
متن کامل3D foot shape generation from 2D information.
Two methods to generate an individual 3D foot shape from 2D information are proposed. A standard foot shape was first generated and then scaled based on known 2D information. In the first method, the foot outline and the foot height were used, and in the second, the foot outline and the foot profile were used. The models were developed using 40 participants and then validated using a different ...
